Taha'a | Wedding
I am with Kimberly and Nathan from the U.S. It has always been Kimberly’s dream to have her perfect topical wedding in French Polynesia and today is that day. I am photographing Kimberly and Nathan at Taha’a Muto. It was so awesome photographing their wedding with the Tahitian twists. At the peak of the ceremony, Kimberly and Nathan were wrapped together with a quilted blanket known as a tifaifai (tee-fay-fay). This signifies and pronounces that they are now husband and wife. The traditional tifaifai is knitted by the older ladies from both sides of the family, symbolising the merging of the two families and the blessing of the marriage. Immediately after, Kimberly and Nathan were pronounced man and wife, are serenaded with Tahitian songs and dance.
